Max joins the cast of East West Players'
"Assassins" as The Proprietor
Max Torrez is a native Texan and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. In May of 2017 he acquired his B.F.A. in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin. He has collaborated with members of the Tony award winning company "The Moving Company", Berton Averre from "The Knack" and performed in Romeo and Juliet as "Mercutio" at the Mercantia Festival in Certaldo, Italy. Aside from being an actor, Max is also a singer and writer.

What's happening, guys?!

I was born and raised in the great state of Texas, to a family of athletes and educators. Due to my competitive nature as a kid, my folks threw me into sports where I played all the way through high school and was even selected to be a Senior Captain on my football team. Now, being a captain of the football team, in Texas of all places, the stage was the last place I saw myself, but as fate would have it I would pull a complete "Glee" situation my senior year and leave the team to be in the school musical. It was then, I earned a scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'Em) for acting. After graduating in 2017 I moved to Los Angeles to continue my career as an actor. Since my time in the city I have performed in a number of films and plays.
